Here's a spectacular project Karin Larson has been generous in sharing with us. Karin teaches sewing, including basic machine beadwork. Her business is Super Sewing in Killeen, Texas.

To make the wall hanging above, she stitched all the Peacock lace using white Sulky size 40 rayon thread. She then followed the instructions for washing, drying and pressing. To protect the pressing board, she laid out several layers of white paper, then laid all the parts for the peacock right side up and placed the Color Transfer Paper (Rainbow Paper) on top. With a medium-to-hot iron (no steam), she pressed, checking for color by lifting a corner without moving the lace.

Karin then arranged the peacock on the fabric. To hold the lace in place, she used a small drop of Insta Pin or No More Pins. She attached the lace free motion by machine and the same time, the beads were added in each eyelet with Sulky Invisible Thread.
